Consistent with the name, this column surveys the listening stations of local record stores. Get out from behind your desk, or wherever you listen to/sample music online, and stroll through the aisles of a store near you. Listen to any number of albums (in their entirety, if you have the time) before you decide to buy.
NOTE: Many stores, also, permit you to listen to any album available on CD by request.

The second of two great record stores in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood to be featured in this column has, similarly, experienced a recent relocation. Everyday Music was closed for two months before re-opening the doors of its new location in the burgeoning business thoroughfare of 10th Ave E. While it’s previous location on the corner of Broadway and Pine was ideally situated behind the Jimi Hendrix statue, it’s hard to argue against the potential benefits of being sandwiched between the soon-to-be opened Elliot Bay Bookstore and Oddfellows Restaurant.

The listening stations of this store are located against the far wall (to the right) with a pairing of five selections at each. The listings below were recorded from right to left. Expect some titles to be switched out each week as new inventory comes in.
